Overview

VytioProbe is a software application which allows channel providers and network administrators to proactively monitor signal health, and also have the ability to react to reports of IPTV channel quality degradation. VytioProbe was designed to be a useful tool for boots-on-the-ground technicians as well as administrators overseeing distribution of IPTV channels across multiple properties. VytioProbe is available in three different configurations: VytioProbe Node, VytioProbe Professional, & VytioProbe MSO.

VytioProbe Node is a standalone version that enables Windows PC’s to:

1. Monitor signal health and issue quality degradation alerts of multiple channels in an IPTV channel lineup

2. Analyze and present signal health and video quality details of a specific channel

3. Capture video segments for visual inspection

4. Detect the occurrence of switch flooding

VytioProbe Professional is a network version ideal for enterprise use, and consists of a VytioProbe Manager and multiple VytioProbe Nodes.

VytioProbe Nodes are distributed to various parts of an enterprise network and managed by the VytioProbe Manager. This enables administrators and engineers to have a full, high-level view of IPTV signal health across their network.

VytioProbe MSO is an expanded version of VytioProbe Professional, optimized for a Multiple Services Operator’s channel service networks.

VytioProbe MSO Manager is typically located in an MSO’s Network Operations Center, and communicates with and manages all of the VytioProbe Nodes, distributed across their distribution network. VytioProbe MSO distributes alerts to relevant support engineers and enables remote troubleshooting, saving truck roll costs.
